Bad morning for a sun tan. Perfect morning for a run. We were set to see Kung Fu Panda 2 in Issaquah so I took the Preston trali from home to the theatre. Yes...I had a change of clothes waiting for me.

Wonderful run. Actually faster than normal. Managed a 6:10 pace without really trying. Must be the plentiful oxygen.

Gorgeous morning in Denver. Low 40s headed for the mid 80s. Planning on running 5-6 more miles this afternoon basking myself in the warm sun getting some good vitamin D.

P.M. Another 6 this evening.

A.M. 11 miles total. The planned workout was a 5-mile tempo with the first three @ 5:32, next mile at 5:16 and the final mile at 5:08. Well, I screwed myself up from the very beginning. There were a bunch of kids on the track at the early morning hour of 6am and I have a tendency to run too fast when other people are around. So the first lap was in :70. Big Oops and I was feeling the lactic acid and fatigue already. I felt it the rest of the workout. I tried to slow down but came in at 5:11 on the first mile. Not good. So I did the next two at 5:29/5:32...back on track but I knew the end was near. I did one more mile @ 5:25 and skipped that last mile as I was seriously oxygen deficient. Really gasping for air when i stopped. Missing the Seattle oxygen levels...but not the rain.

P.M. 5 miles easy in an effort to get rid of my day-long headache. Mission accomplished.
